Wat Ket community began to thrive as the area became synonymous with trade due to its prime location along this main waterway. After the introduction of the railway, Chiang Mai experienced an economic boom, small communities swelling rapidly due to the influx of new races and highly distinctive cultures. The glory days of Chiang Mai can still be seen in the architecture, cultures and beliefs that have been passed down through the generations of the Chiang Mai people.

The intentions of Tri Yaan Na Ros have been certified with the award for The Best Conserved Structure Award 2004 of The Lanna Architect Association and Chiang Mai Municipality.
